Taking Baby’s Pulse

Taking Baby’s Pulse
  • A baby’s pulse rate is normally quite high. It can range between 100-160 beats per minute (bpm) and slows down to 100 to 120 bpm once he completes a year

  • Keep the palm of your hand over baby’s chest by the left nipple, count the number of heartbeats in 15 seconds and multiply by four to get the bpm. You can also take his pulse by checking his wrist.
